Discover The Revival

Discover The Revival

Our third (and most anticipated) collection is FINALLY here! After what seems like an eternity (really, about 15 months), we are thrilled for the world to discover patterns we have revived from the past. This collection is full of depth, heart, and soul ... kind of like a southern home-cooked meal. It is rich and earthy, the likes of which our fledgling brand hadn't explored yet, and we LIKE it! Revival feels different from anything we've ever done because it IS different.

Meet Monarch

These patterns were discovered in dusty textile archives across the southeast, and we spent many a day shuffling through yellowed, delicate papers to find Monarch, Trellis, Flora, and Echo. In fact, Monarch was the first print we chose, and it was love at first sight. We didn't tweak this pattern one bit - it is truly a revived archival print with so much European flare it must have come from France (or at least that's what we tell ourselves). We played with reversing the colors for a more neutral pattern, but ultimately decided not to sample it - it may make an appearance in a future collection! The scale of this collection's hero pattern is perfect for multiple interior applications, from drapery panels to upholstered beds to pillows. And Monarch on type II vinyl wallcovering means you can have her in your bathroom, laundry room, pool house, and MUCH more!

Say Hello to Trellis

The next pattern we discovered on our travels was Trellis. Now, we both think this pattern didn't get as much love as it should have (meaning, we only produced 1 colorway on 1 ground), but we TRIED! We worked on so many pink / red color variations of this pattern and just couldn't get it right (there was a lot of 4th of July contenders), and time was of the essence. So we punted, and depending on the love Trellis receives in this collection, we might revive Trellis in other colorways in the future. Unlike Monarch, we did tweak this pattern to make it more "Elliston House" (which, can we use that as an adjective now? Mom, have we made it?!). The OG Trellis came in a burnt orange / clay / grey colorway and had more intricate scrollwork. We took the vine detailing from another pattern (seen in the image below in blue / cream) and substituted that into the stripe. And, voila! Perfection was born. We got a little gun-shy when it came to producing Trellis on wallpaper, but we may buck up and add a wallpaper SKU soon! We nailed the scale on this one, which is difficult to do when it comes to stripes, so go show her some love!

Enter: Della Dot

Any guesses as to where Della Dot came from?! (Hint: look up!) We loved Trellis so much, we knew we could use some of her "tribal" elements and make another pattern without having to come up with one from scratch. Enter: Della Della Dot - the ancient "evil eye" pattern we never knew we needed. This small-scale geo comes in two amazing colorways that are incredibly versatile. We love the uplifting aura of Radish and the smooth jazz vibe of Marine. Perfect as wallpaper and as fabric, Della Dot is our new go-to when a room feels like something is missing!

Introducing Echo

The hardest pattern of the Collection to develop, Echo has captivated our hearts (and minds) for a long, long time. Ironically enough, small and "simple" patterns are the most difficult and tedious to make. If you don't believe us, just wait until we show you how many iterations of Echo we went through before coming to a "group' consensus (hint: more than the the ages of our three kids combined). We riffled through so many "folliard" patterns, and ultimately ended up combining elements from a handful of different ones. We started off with the diagonal concept outlined in a dot / line (seen below in the french blue stained glass pattern). This specific pattern felt a little too "church-like", so we softened the edges and switched out the shape in the center for a shape we tweaked from another pattern (seen below in pink / rouge). A lot of adjusting was done and we finally landed on the perfect Echo. We played around with a brown colorway, but couldn't get it perfect, so we stuck with a sagey green and a rich mid-tone blue. The "ground" is colored in a textured oatmeal to give the look of softness and antiquity. For the wallpaper SKUs, we inverted the colors for a more neutral affect that gives an airy feel to any space. Echo plays nicely with all of our Elliston House patterns and we can't wait to see how you use this easy-going geo!

Fabulous Flora

Flora really and truly is just so FABULOUS! She came to us from an archive in NYC where they keep a record of brands who license the pattern. We knew we had good taste when we saw that the last brand to license this pattern was Salvatore Ferragamo - which makes Flora the coolest pattern in our line, no cap. We did tweak this pattern a bit from it's original state, removed some elements and adjusted the scale, and we are SO happy with the final result. Flora is feminine, yet moody, and has an undoubtedly British flare (and a William Morris edge) to her that we just adore. The 3 colorways are perfection - a French blue, a sagey green, and a neutral putty. Flora is printed on the most luxurious Belgian oatmeal linen, as well as wide-width vinyl wallcovering. We chose a wide-width vinyl for two reasons: 1. We didn't want to change the scale from the fabric ground, as this would compromise her beauty 2. We wanted texture, but did not want to print on grasscloth, so we selected a vinyl with movement and grain. Flora is definitely a departure from OG Elliston House, but in the best way possible! This pattern charts a new course for our brand and we are so happy she's ours.
